this page contains examples of works made from re-purposing old books. i use salvaged books as my support for three reasons; the first is because i believe that so much material already exists in the world, & simply can't justify creating any more ! secondly, working on already used paper removes the recurrent fear of the blank page, and thirdly, because as an avid and lifelong gleaner i feel that every "creation" is always a version of something that went before it at heart. i'm happy to work with deja-vu,with all the sow's ears and silk purses i can find.
