One very difficult brief

Some initial research drawings and handwriting on good thick paper in preparation to make a wedding present...pretty difficult brief to write and find an interesting form to present a love poem...

So I decided in making a 'livre d'or' collaging drawings, pages from old books and small sections from the wedding invitation....

Then stitched the handwritten poem and doodles into the middle of the book... The  paper was so beautiful to work with and giving new life to old battered and ripped books felt like exactly the right way to give this gift...
