Smoke and mirrors exhibition

Spent a weekend in Bloomsbury and went a few times to the smoke and mirrors exhibition at the wellcome centre on the Euston Road. I watched one of the conjuring performances in the exhibition which really impressed me; finding myself experiencing that familiar yet surprisingly archaic human capacity of the suspension of disbelief, whereby you know logically that something is 'untrue' (a whole other debate!) but the fiction is built and exectuted so well that your logical mind is overrided and you find yourself fully believing what you are seeing. The magicians dexterity and sleight of hand was mesmerising and unique, the hours and hours of work that must have gone into training them reminded me of both pianist's and some factory worker's finely tuned deft hands.
